Maximum Reliability

The same attributes of Opteon imaging systems that make them both accurate and rapidly deployable also makes machine vision system built on them much more reliable. Most failures in modern solid state systems involve failed connections, timing errors between disparate hardware, or poorly designed software.

Opteon systems use 4x - 9x fewer electrical connections, which greatly increases service life and system uptime. They also are self-monitoring and will report when any particular conductor of those few required cables are shorted, open, or merely no longer meet their impedance and frequency requirements for reliable operation. They will even report when and where in a system an expected signal was not received on schedule which can be indispensable when debugging the operation of asynchronous machinery.

Opteon components are designed to work together in cohesive systems that include a very wide range of third party equipment. They undergo extensive regression testing in complex high-speed real world machine vision systems composed of dozens of disparate cameras in addition to device-specific testing so that there will be no surprises in your applications.

By eliminating the gaps between cameras, computers, lights, cameras, sensors, and controls in conventional systems, Opteon components allow you to control and monitor all aspects of your system.

Despite the higher accuracies and reliabilities of Opteon based systems, their initial costs are lower and their total life cycle costs much lower than systems composed of conventional devices.

Most important, the much higher performance and reliability will provide your systems with a decisive competitive advantage.
